Home Fellowship Groups are a new ministry at First Pres.  These groups are for the whole household (all types, all ages, all walks of life) and will have the aim of developing a Word-centered community. These will be weekly gatherings in households of the church to eat & fellowship, pray together, and discuss the Sunday Sermon.

What are they?

Weekly gatherings where households of the church can cultivate a heart for God’s Word and for God’s people.

These groups are intended to be an intentional fellowship amongst the diverse households of the church, with a focus on meditating further on the preached Word & engaging in practical discipleship.

What will each group do?

Gather in each other’s homes to eat, fellowship, discuss the Preached Word from Sunday, and pray with one another.

The goal is to make it a rhythm of life to intentionally carry the preaching of God’s Word with us throughout each week, and to engage in a more intimate community with one another. We will get to share life with another in a different way than usual, as well as encourage one another with how the Lord is working in our lives in the church and through his Word.

How will they practically look?

When?

In the evening, after work, and before bedtime for Kids.

Start time: 6:00-6:30pm, End Time: 8:00-8:30pm.

What day?

Thursday evenings are the primary evening for this ministry. (Groups on other evenings will be considered at a later time based on interest & need).

Where?

In homes of willing members located in strategic geographical areas that cover the membership of our church.

The body of Christ is a blessing to God’s people. Engaging with one another in the Word, and the sharing of each other’s faith is a spiritual blessing!

“For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.” -Romans 1:11-12
