What Should I Expect?

Welcome to First Pres! We're glad you're interested in visiting our church. You'll find that we seek to bring glory to God and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all that we do. We hope that you will join us at one of our Sunday services and consider making us your church family. We're not perfect, but fortunately, we've been saved by the One who is.

We worship each Sunday at 9am, 11am and 6pm. No matter which service you attend, you will hear gospel-centered preaching and sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that make much of Jesus.

A warm welcome. We are a family at First Pres and we want you to know that you are welcome. Stop by the Welcome Center in the foyer or chat with one of our Front Line welcome team members. We'll help you find your way around.

Gospel-centered preaching. We believe that Jesus Christ is the hope for all of the world and we will proclaim that at each and every gathering. Find out more about what we believe here.

A safe place for your kids. We have classes for children of all ages at each service (and Sunday school). Our teachers love kids and will teach them about Jesus while making sure they have a great time! We use Planning Center check-in software to ensure that your kids are safe and that you are the only one who can pick them up. Learn more and pre-register your kids using the button below.

Passionate praise. Recognizing the Bible's repeated encouragement to praise the Lord, we seek to glorify God through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that make much of Jesus by pointing us toward the truth of who he is and all he has done.

Our building is handicap accessible. We have an elevator in the foyer and wheelchair seating in the sanctuary.

We have a cry room available upstairs where you can see and hear the service.

9:00am & 11:00am Worship

Our morning worship services follow a liturgy (worship order) centered around: acknowledging God's GREATNESS, admitting our GUILT, depending on the GRACE of God in Christ, and responding in complete GRATITUDE.

10:00am Sunday school

In between our two morning worship services, we meet for an hour of Sunday school. We have classes for all age groups of children and a variety of classes for adults.

6:00pm Service

Our Sunday evening service provides an opportunity to end our Sundays (the Lord's Day) in worshiping God together! The evening service provides a distinct sermon series from that of the 9am/11am morning sermon series. This service also includes doctrinal instruction from the Westminster Shorter Catechism (a question & answer format). All are welcome and encouraged to attend both morning and evening services.

The Lord's Supper

We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper each week. On the first and third Sunday of the month, the Lord's Supper is celebrated at the 9am & 11am morning worship services. On the second, fourth, and any fifth Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper at our 6pm service.
