There are plenty of ministry and service opportunities available. God has given each of us gifts and talents that are to be used for His glory. Below is a sampling of what is available. Whether you are new to First Pres or have been here a while and are ready to start serving, let us know and we will get you plugged in!

We have opportunities to serve at 9am, 11am and 6pm services as well as special presentations such as Easter and Christmas cantatas.

If you are interested in singing in the choir at 9am, please contact Eric Keel.

If you play an instrument or sing and want to serve at the 11am and 6pm service, contact Jon Blosser.

Our kids are a vital part of the community here. We have lots of opportunities to serve and teach them including: Sunday morning childcare and Sunday school teachers/assistants, Vacation Bible School, childcare during weekday Bible studies and groups, and more!

Our Sunday welcome team is always looking for more smiling faces to join us. You will have the chance to make people feel welcome and at home as they walk through the doors. You’ll also learn how to use and assist people with our check-in system.  We need people to serve at the 9am, 11am and 6pm services.

We have several GOAL Sports seasons each year (soccer, flag football, and hockey). This is a low cost/low time-commitment chance for young kids to get to play sports. We have hundreds of kids each season and are always in need of coaches. You don’t have to know much about the sport, we’ll help you out with that, just love kids and be willing to serve! Let us know if you’d like more information.

The Compassionate Care Committee needs a few individuals or couples who would like to pay a friendly visit to our shut-ins at least once a month. You may choose to visit just one person or several, your choice. Prayerfully consider whether this might be for you. Please contact Gary or Diane Siemers at 734.787.9021 with any questions. Our Audio/Visual team is a critical part of our Sunday worship services. They ensure our services run seamlessly in presentation and production. If you would like to be a part of this essential ministry please contact Jon Blosser or Eric Keel. 

If you would like to serve our members who may have occastional physical needs, like home repairs, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, or general labor please contact Eric Keel to learn more or to volunteer.  Thank you.

We have some occasional needs throughout the year, for instance, we need people to volunteer for set up/clean up, food service, and dessert preparation for funeral luncheons and similar events.
